Dear Friends
and Partners, |

|
This month has
been a busy month for us at Dayspring. After the Christmas trip, I
stayed at the border to do pastor’s meetings in our different areas
and to help begin the next session of the DMT training school. This
year we have 16 students. Those are made up of 6 singles and three
couples from the US and 4 singles from Mexico. I taught the first
week of classes covering personalities and conflicts, cultural
characteristics, cross cultural ministry, and church doctrines. In
addition we taught Spanish to the Americans and English to the
Mexicans. The second week was taught by pastor Rick Robison from
Blacksburg, South Carolina and Pastor Ron Hawkins from Grover, North
Carolina. The subjects were CPR and First Aid, leading someone to
Christ, and personal evangelism. Week three was The Father’s Heart
and Praise and Worship taught by a team of five from Heartland
Church in Ft Wayne, Indiana. This week finds Pastor Mike Schneider
from Wiley Colorado teaching on God, Man, Jesus, Faith, and Eternal
Life. In addition to the students, our married couples have 3
children and the staff is assisting in home school and pre-school
for them. You can see the pictures, read student and teacher’s
comments and even send in your own comments at the DMT News page
located at:
http://dayspring.us/dmt_news . I try to post updates on my
schedule, and the ministry in general every week at the Dayspring
news page located at:
http://dayspring.us/news . Check them both out to stay in touch
with what we are doing. |

| I returned to
the Missouri office on the 20th and have been busy with
the year end books, receipts, and 1099 forms. I have also had the
opportunity to catch up with a lot of our partners and supporting
churches by phone during that time. I return to Mexico on in two
days for pastor’s meetings, board meetings, and to finish the
plumbing and bottom floor on the new staff quarters. We hope to
move into it next month. We are gearing up for spring break
groups and I plan to begin two more building projects this month as
well. |

| The Video Bible
School is in the hands of several of the native pastors now, in
Reynosa, and they are each beginning classes in their churches. We
plan to move into the Monterrey area next with the material and then
to the south. It is an incredible program and with it we are able
to provide a quality two year bible school to the churches and their
members that they can complete on a part time basis. We believe we
will begin to see the results soon in the churches as their people
begin studying and learning. |

| This spring,
with the DMT students, we plan to begin construction on a new church
in the village of La Mesa. I first became acquainted with this
village when a couple who lived in the village visited our church in
Dr Arroyo and received Christ. Afterward, they came to me and asked
me to come and build a church in their village since they were the
only Christians there. They donated a piece of property and we
began weekly services there under a makeshift roof and a couple of
tarps to shade the people from the sun. At Christmas, we went there
to do Christmas services for the first time and had over 70 people
attend. Many of those attend the weekly services under that roof.
Because one elderly couple cared about their village, lives have
been touched. Their gift made a difference to their village and
soon they will be able to enjoy the fruit of that gift in a new
church for their village. Your gifts make a difference too.
Because of your gifts we can build a church in a village that had
never had the gospel before. Thank you for joining with us to reach
the unreached with the love of Christ. |
